i06: Affordable Student Accommodation (375 M€)
This investment will result in a profound reform of the student accommodation system, with significant and long-lasting impacts on improved attendance conditions for students of higher education. The specific goal is to increase the availability of accommodation at a regulated price by 2026, particularly through the construction, adaptation and refurbishment of student residences, giving priority to the refurbishment of state, higher education or local authority properties, or any other properties that are available or can be built, ensuring good air quality and a high standard of energy efficiency, which contribute to reduced consumption of fossil fuels.
The aim is to provide 15,000 beds in student accommodation/residential units by 2026.
