i04: Implementation of the Regional Strategy for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion – Social Support Networks in the Azores (35 M€)
Ensure that all children and young people, from the beginning of their lives, are part of a process of integral and inclusive development by increasing children’s and young people’s access to social and educational services;
- Strengthen social cohesion by expanding services targeted at families (13,000) in need of integration into society and the job market;
- Strengthen social cohesion through the technical upgrading of social services aimed at people with disabilities and promote their integration into the job market;
- Enhance and renovate the IPSS vehicle fleet to ensure a response capacity that is suitable for meeting the needs of families and territorial cohesion.
- Promote an innovative pilot project, “ageing in place”, for elderly people at home as a contribution to the non-institutionalisation of the elderly (250) in the Azores.
