i02: Commitment to Sustainable Employment (230 M€)
Within the scope of promoting dignified work, it will be necessary to promote incentives for the creation of permanent employment of an exceptional nature that should be in force for a limited period of time – i.e. 12 months, with the possibility of extending the measure according to developments and achievement of goals in the period 2021-2022.
This measure is based on an enhanced combination of supports, including direct financial support for hiring in the amount of at least 12 times the value of the IAS (€5,265.72). The support will be increased by 25% in the case of hiring people up to 35 years of age and when the base remuneration is equal to or greater than twice the national minimum wage, with the increases being cumulative. Additionally, the support will also be cumulatively increased when it concerns hiring the gender that is under-represented in the profession. Support amounting to 50% of the Social Security contribution to be paid by the employer for a period of 14 months will also be granted.
This funding will support the creation of 30,000 open-ended employment contracts.
The IEFP will be the body responsible for this investment.
