Investment RE-C08-i01

This investment aims to increase the resilience of vulnerable areas against the risks associated with climate change, in particular rural fires and biodiversity loss, through measures that promote a structural change in land use and management models, favour the adaptation of the vegetation cover to the new climate conditions, support the restoration of ecosystems, ensure the long-term capture of atmospheric carbon and simultaneously promote sustainable growth and recovery of the natural capital of these areas, encouraging new economies and territorial cohesion and counteracting population loss.

The implementation of this investment will allow:

•  The establishment of 19 Landscape Reordering and Management Programmes (PRGP) in the areas defined as vulnerable;
•  Create 60 Integrated Landscape Management Areas (AIGP);
•  Support 800 communities with fuel management projects.
