i05: Adult qualification and lifelong learning – Azores (29 M€)
The Autonomous Region of the Azores considers it strategically important to invest in the qualifications and skills of its working-age population. Thus, it intends to provide support for the development of basic or specific skills, aiming to ensure the working-age population is better suited to the job market, and increasing quality and productivity.
To this end it intends to increase the number of adults with post-secondary and higher education qualifications, to provide qualification paths that meet technological, organisational, economic and legal transformation training needs, to develop short-term training paths focusing on capacity-building in the areas of digital skills and foreign languages, and to create a guidance and training service dedicated exclusively to qualifications for the adult population.
The aim is to reach an adult enrolment of between 1,145 and 1,550 and to modernise 15 vocational schools.
